Integrated Security and Communication Systems Implementation
Al Badia Towers – Dubai, UAE
CCTV, GSM, Intercom, Access Control & Wi-Fi Systems Deployment
Prove IT successfully executed a large-scale security and communication systems project for five residential and commercial towers located in Al Badia – Dubai, under the supervision of Al-Futtaim Group. The project aimed to deliver an integrated, high-performance solution combining CCTV surveillance, GSM cabling, intercom systems, access control, and wireless network infrastructure to ensure complete safety, connectivity, and operational efficiency across all towers. The project encompassed the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of all related systems, with each tower equipped with a dedicated low-voltage network engineered to support both security and communication devices under a unified topology.
Project Overview
The CCTV system included the installation of more than 200 IP cameras of different types strategically placed to provide full visual coverage of entrances, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and service zones. All cameras were connected to a central Network Video Recorder (NVR) system using CAT6 structured cabling and PoE network switches, providing a stable high-speed transmission backbone. The NVR units featured RAID-enabled storage arrays capable of maintaining 90 days of HD recording with secure remote access.
The GSM cabling network enhanced telecommunication infrastructure across all floors, while the intercom system enabled internal communication and visitor verification within apartments, offices, and service areas.
A centralized access control system was implemented covering main entry points, basement doors, and technical rooms, equipped with RFID card readers, magnetic locks, and control panels linked to the security control room for real-time monitoring.
Wi-Fi access points were deployed throughout common areas to ensure full coverage with load balancing and minimal interference.
All systems were integrated within a unified infrastructure enabling synchronized operation between surveillance, access control, and communication modules, supported by detailed topology maps, VLAN segmentation, IP allocations, and bandwidth optimization plans.
Each tower featured an equipment rack housing NVR units, PoE switches, and control panels, while fiber optic links connected all towers to a central monitoring hub equipped with a video wall, operator stations, and UPS backup.
Infrastructure and Technology
Execution and Compliance
The project adhered to Al-Futtaim’s HSE and quality standards, along with Dubai Municipality and OSHAD regulations. All installation work—including cabling, containment, device positioning, network configuration, labeling, and infrastructure layout—was executed according to international TIA/EIA standards. Comprehensive documentation and as-built drawings were prepared to support future maintenance and scalability.
Outcome
The integrated system delivered real-time monitoring, enhanced operational visibility, centralized access management, seamless communication, and improved response capability across all towers—creating a unified, secure, and efficient smart infrastructure tailored to modern developments.
